Weather was best we have had for a while.
Forecast was for cloud, westerly wind. It did vary from wsw to wnw. Started at about 20g 25 and built till the launch of the K100 of 30g 40.

The 2m Kinetic speed was misleading, It needs some tuning after it last repair so was a hand full.

If we get more good wind, we will be there to push again. but we don't get very many good days like that here.
Its been 2 years since the record was increased. And could be another 2 years before we get another.
Work, Weather, Family. There is alot that needs to fall in place.

I am hoping to get another good day this windy season at least.

slopeflyer

Well done chaps, great to see you guys getting the record. So what was the wind speed when you set the record?
Cheers,
J.

Congrats Steve & Will :af :uk:
Great speeds without great winds!

We had twice that wind at HH & a near calm backside, but shafted by continuous rain.
Jon tested conditions with his D60 in a period of lighter rain, including a few DS laps, but had to land-out quickly as it proved impossible to keep a clear view through glasses.
Hey-ho, nothing ventured.
His K2m would have loved that wind......... :banghead:

Zim

Checking in for first time in ages. Congratulations on the new record - couldn't happen to a nicer bloke!

Hey Zim, good to hear from... Getting flying withdrawal? I am, we're overdue a big wind DS session and perhaps a new set of PBs...

Zim

Thanks Steve - not quite getting withdrawals yet, but I should think when I do I ought to do a little practice before flying down a radar beam - I wouldn't want to be the gunman after coming on 3 years!
Hope you're all well :-)
