Hi Guys.
Just had a thought as to how I may isolate my problem here, and establish if it's a hardware or firmware problem.

How would I flash my X12S from OTX to FrOS, the apparent problem is that I have never had FrOS on the TX so I don't know what version it was on and I don't have a back up. Have downloaded all the latest firmware from Frsky and looked a various instructions as to how to install it, but I am a little confused as to what files and folders to put where, if it can be done without a backup in existence that is.

Thanks guys.

I believe you just need to replicate the SD card layout with the folders and put the latest firmware in the update folder
If you get stuck I could create an image of my SD card for you when I get home later today.

Thanks Gerry.
That would be good, not rushing to play with the firmware again after my last ....up, but it may be the way to find out if the module bay works under FrOS.

Have updated the link to RCgroups, for some reason it was the wrong link, ok now.

Think I am slowly getting my head around this, because I don't have a back up of the original FrOS firmware and as the TX is currently on OTX, I can't update the firmware from the on board sd card.

I think it may be possible to do through Companion 2.2, the two things I am unclear about are when I write firmware to the TX, do I use the .dfu or the .bin file, have seen vids of it being done with both, so still confused.

The second thing is as I can't access the on board flash memory until FrOS in installed, what will happen with the install when the files on the flash, are possibly not compatible with the version of firmware I install. If the FrOS will start then I believe it is quite simple to replace those files with the ones that came with the version I have installed.

Any thoughts ?
