hi gents
just starting to build ka8b
and just going to log in on here

start with the tailplane

and then on to rudder
and fuse build , didnt do this all today mind
just doing a catch up

got as far as canopy now , made out of 4 mm brass and soldered , ok with hinges , just trying to work out catch system
i will be putting sliding vent in canopy so i can get finger in , so can keep scale
any ideas greatly recd

back to canopy frame
now done hinges and catch
tried to copy scale as much as poss

finally finishe the canopy
and it fits !!
spent wayt too much time on this bit but very pleased with results , and thats what matters

not sure yet
trying to find pics of the seat arrangement at mo
might go for this one (see pic) its the one they fly at the club have seen it a couple of times
unusual as it has side windows and might be nice to do
the colour is actually purple -ish

That's nice, I've never seen one with the clear panels. I'd think that'd be interesting to fly!

Yes 3rd picture does look like Derwent water and hence probably launched from Latrigg. I've been there and helped them launch - interesting ...

started on the wings now
as you can see the board is to short , so had to build as much as can and then slide along , and it seems to have worked
