Started In July designing and building these pair to fly at a PSSA event up Lleyn Peninsula in August 2014.

Cut from black epp foam, tidied up with 'spackle' filler, covered in brown paper, painted with household gloss paint, flown at Lleyn.

Balance  for C o G - the balance point is 270 mm measured form the rear TE forward along the side of the body underneath and marked it for reference and transferred that measurement to the inside for the middle position for the lead ballast.

Control Throws - low elevator - 6 mm up and down -high elevator - 10 mm up and down

Control throws - low aileron - 7.5 mm up and down - high aileron - 12.5 mm up and down

Measurements at the widest elevon part near the engine pod.

The trailing edge finish measure's 8 mm wide on the edge, and these measurements are either side of the 8 mm finish. The aerodynamics are fine even with the wide square finish to the trailing edge.

Whilst at the hill passed the transmitter around and Tim Mackey is a mode 1 pilot - here's is words -

" Had a great day on the Saturday Lleyn PSSA meet. Mark kindly let me fly the white Vulcan for its maiden flights - and Phil Cooke piloted the camo scheme version. I'm a mode 1 pilot but can fly mode 2 on the slope, and despite the radio being on "the wrong mode" for me, I was at ease with the model almost immediately - testament to its superb handling. Phil and I enjoyed a good twenty minutes or so of close formation flying, and both models flew very well indeed. Other pilots who had a twiddle on the sticks gave similar praise. Well done mate - she's a winner!"

Thanks Tim for your comment's.

I was glad and pleased that others enjoyed flying the Vulcan,  to see it them in close formation flying Tim and Phil were flying was thrill for me, the successive loops and rolls made by you both a pleasure to see Also Matt Jones a mode 1 pilot flew with Tim and Phil Cooke took some more picture's.  On my side as the designer of the 44" model it was a relief that it as easy to fly and good manners , allowing us as the flyers to do aero's with confidence. Matt Jones also said it was easy to land.

Wing section is one I drew up with reflex built into the top line, the positions and size of sections, ex-bike bowden cable glued to wing section former edges so hot wire cuts nice without snagging.
