Who'd have thought it likely, a couple of years back, that a foamie wing might  well exceed 250 mph.
And on the cards with a plane that's been with us for ages!

cambrad

Foamy wr gone again, now 251mph with a JW.
Not sure wether it is  a "official" new record as the fuzz was g/f reinforced???

skirmish

Is there a definition of a 'foamie' in the context of records as clearly there is a lot of other type of material needed to make a model capable of 250mph+

enrico

Only another 140 mph to go and i'll be there  Chris !!

It also had a gyro

As Will says; hence it's not a world record that will be recorded on rcspeeds.
Unless, of course, the rules don't apply universally! It seems an 'airframe record' is being claimed, but possibly not by pilot Bruce Tebo.......

Non-foamie (& non-gyro), Spencer did 283 mph maidening his flying wing based on sections of a K2m wing.
